Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Cliff (or anyone else, jglynn, dire, sdh?) - best place to buy fish in Boston? (non-dead)

Hey Cliff, as the resident fisherman, I have a question for you. I know you are not local to Boston but perhaps you know anyway. Maybe some of you Massholes could help me out?

Having a nice dinner tomorrow night and want to get some fresh fish. Just in case the non-dead disclaimer was confusing, I want a fillet, not a squirming marine vertebrate. Have any recommendations for the best fish market in Boston? Just thought I'd ask this silly ass question. I'll end up at Shaw's otherwise.

Thanks guys

I used to live in Boston and owned business in Gloucester, Green Harbor, Chatham, Sandwich and Provincetown, MA

Go to "Sea 2 You" in Brookline (5 Kendall Street) and ask for Bon Koo. I used to sell him many giant Bluefin Tuna back when I was in the tuna export business. You can tell him Dennis from Montauk, NY sent you...
